Hour of Code
What is it? Each month, your 1-2nd or 3-5th grade student will have the opportunity to register in a standalone STEM project. Students will be engaged with other students as they learn a skill and complete a challenge using that skill. Listed below are the topics for each month. See your monthly newsletter for a description of the next month's class and an opportunity to register. Registration will typically open with the publishing of the newsletter prior to the month of the workshop.
How do I sign up? Our class sizes are limited to 20 students per session. As a way to accommodate more students, we are offering three class dates each month (Except in December). As you see below, two dates are for the STEM Project and the third date will be a standalone LEGO WeDo class (except September & December). When you register each month, you will be given the opportunity to choose the date(s) that best work for your family (by first, second, and third choice). Due to interest and limited supplies, we cannot guarantee placement, but our goal is to provide your student with one STEM class each month - either a Project of the Month or a LEGO WeDo class.
2016-17 Schedule of Projects:
All meetings occur on Mondays, from 1:00pm - 3:00pm.
