What are T3 days?
T3s are designed to provide a fun and instructional morning where students attend class on campus. The classes revolve around a theme chosen for each particular grade level. Students will learn about and explore their topic in depth by participating in activities that incorporate science, history, art, math, language arts, and more. Why are they called T3 days?? Third Thursday Theme days, which grew to include Tuesdays as well, are held the week of the third Tuesday of each month! Watch as the various classes update their web pages. You'll be able to see just what your student will be doing each time they come to T3! Thematic Instruction
Popular with many of our families, thematic instruction is an instructional method of teaching where multiple subjects can be taught, all using a central theme. Click the image below to open the door to a great fall thematic study idea: California Rice!!! Browse through the information on the website, and organize it to cover all the standard study areas! The agriculture in our area provides so many ideas for thematic instruction. Apples, pizza and sheep are featured in three online magazines provided by the American Farm Bureau. Click here to view them! It may be outdated, but you could still take a look at the site linked below (click on Olympic rings) and investigate the many ways your studies could take on an "Olympic" theme! (You may be required to register with the "sharemylesson" in order to access all they have to offer, but there is no charge to do so.) |
