Yosemite National Park

Come join us for a ranger guided hike to Lower Yosemite Falls.
Arrive anytime, walk around, tour the Museum and Indian Village, and eat your lunch as a family. Meet Mrs. Johnson and the rest of our group at the outdoor amphitheater (near the Yosemite Valley Lodge Check In Desk and Base Camp Eatery).
Note: Fourth graders can apply online for Every Kid in a Park program (free family entrance to national parks and sites nationwide). This program entitles the 4th grade student (and the persons in his/her car) to free admission to any national park through August 31st. Visit the program's website at Every Kids Outdoors to register and print a paper pass!

McHenry Mansion, Modesto

Come join us to tour the historic McHenry Mansion which is exquisitely decorated for the Christmas holiday.
We will begin with a presentation by a mansion maid followed by a tour with Mr. and Mrs. Johnson who will share the history of the mansion while dressed in authentic time period costumes.
Meet at the McHenry Mansion 15 minutes before your preferred tour time.
Parking is available in the lot behind the Stanislaus County Library, 1500 I Street.

California Diggin's, Columbia
Columbia State Historic Park

Meet Mrs. Johnson at the picnic tables (adjacent to the large parking lot) to pick up name tags and eagles (Diggin's spending money) and assemble into 4 groups. Step back to 1852 into a Gold Rush tent town!
Our annual trip will include a tour through an authentic Gold Rush tent town which includes a working gold mine, hotel, mercantile, and much, much more! 3rd & 4th graders will receive "gold" coins to spend! Don't forget to wear your "old west" clothes!
Hickman will cover the entrance fee for 1 adult and enrolled students (and eagles for enrolled students) per family. Non Enrolled students and extra adults will need to pay their own way into the Diggin's ($7.00 for adults, $2.00 for students, 12 and under.) The entrance fee does not include eagles. The coins are $ .50 each and can be purchased at the door.
We will reserve 100 spaces for this trip. Register now. We must have an exact headcount of adults, students, and.preschoolers attending. You will receive notification of your confirmed registration by email.
